The system was developed by Haco-Kingsland to provide efficiency in the production of structural steel, and can process I, T, H and L beam profiles, as well flat bar and tubes within size limits. Profile lengths from 2.0 to 18.3 m can be accommodated, while flat bar up to 25 mm thick can be cut.

In terms of sheet metal processing, sheets sizes up to a maximum of 1.5 by 3.0 m, and up to 50 mm thick, can be accommodated by the machine.

A 360 A Kjellberg plasma source provides the heartbeat of the RPC system, which is driven by a Windows control with colour touchscreen and networking capabilities. Special part and program management software supports easy programming and JIT processing. Supported part source file formats include DSTV, STP (STEP) and IGES from any CAD system.

Haco-Kingsland will be showcasing and performing live demonstrations of the RPC at its facility in Ypres, Belgium on 4-9 March.
