Mecof AirOne from DS Technology

Excellent dynamics and high quality surfaces are ensured by the linear motor driven Mecof AirOne high speed vertical machining centre. With it's high dynamics and accuracy capability, the 5-axis Mecof AirOne moving cross rail, vertical spindle machining centre is able to produce high quality 3D surfaces quickly.
With available working envelope capacities of 2,500 to 10,000 mm X-axis, 1,650 to 2,200 mm Y-axis, and 800 to 1,000 Z-axis, the machine is designed for the efficient manufacture within industry sectors such as mould and die, aerospace, automotive and general engineering processing materials, ranging from tool steels to composites.
The Mecof AirOne high performance machine is equipped with either Heidenhain iTNC 530 or Siemens 840D control systems.
Utilising the latest linear motor technology this rigidly built, large capacity machine is capable of rapid traverse feedrates of up to 100 m/min and a very impressive linear axis acceleration rate of up to 1g, significantly reducing component processing cycle times.
In-line with it's other high performance features the AirOne machine is configured for use with a range of high quality motorised spindles, having maximum speeds of 18,000 rpm to 30,000 rpm.
AirOne is only one of the machines available from the Mecof range of horizontal spindle and vertical spindle machining centres.
