Turbex adds Elma ultrasonic cleaners to range

The range of ultrasonic cleaning machines built by Elma at its factory in Germany is now being sold and serviced in the UK by Turbex. Representative models are already available for demonstration in the Turbex showroom and technical centre.

The product programme, which ranges from small bench-top units to bespoke, multi-tank cleaning and drying lines with automation, is aimed primarily at high-end cleaning applications in the optics, medical and precision manufacturing industries.

A hallmark of Elma machines is multi-frequency ultrasonics, where a single transducer can generate two different ultrasonic frequencies. Consequently, dissimilar components and materials can be processed to optimum cleanliness in the same tank, says Elma.

John Huntingdon, managing director of Turbex, says: "The equipment fills a previous gap in our product range, in that it takes us into very high precision cleaning, offering the possibility of simulated clean room conditions.
