Starrett has launched a portable, battery-powered bandsaw designed for professional installers and contractors working across multiple sites. With a blade speed of 170 m/min, the handheld bandsaw is suitable for high cutting across a range of raw material types including conduit, trunking, pipe, box section, armoured cables, Unistrut and more.

Weighing just 4 kg, the S1005 features a 20 V lithium-ion long-life battery with a charge display. The machine’s 0.35 mm thickness Starrett Univerz bi-metal blades are suitable for cutting a variety of materials, while a quick release lever allows for easy blade changes.

The S1005 portable bandsaw has a one-year warranty and comes with a free Starrett tool bag, free Starrett Univerz bandsaw blade and free secondary 20 V lithium-Ion battery. It is available for £249 excluding VAT.
