Norelem’s high-pressure nozzles extend tool life

Norelem has added the series of LOC-LINE high-pressure nozzles to its product portfolio. The nozzles facilitate the precise application of coolant to points of tool/workpiece contact, thus reducing damage caused by excessive heat and friction.

With diameters ranging from 1.6 to 4.1 mm, and lengths from 0 mm (flush with the housing) to 31.8 mm, the nozzles feature a compact design that makes them suitable for installation in the tight spaces found commonly on CNC machine tools. Adding to ease of installation, the components can be rotated through 360°, while flow directions can be adjusted without the need for unscrewing the nozzle entirely.

Able to withstand extreme working pressures of up to 70 bar, LOC-LINE nozzles are available in two designs. The first variant, Form A, has a vertical swivel range of up to 72° and is suitable for use in tight spaces. Form B variants have a vertical swivel range of up to 110° and are therefore aimed at applications where the jet has to be directed below the nozzle position.

Both nozzle types are available in diameters of 1.6, 2.2, 3.0 or 4.1 mm, and with a length of 0, 6.4, 12.7 or 31.8 mm. The nozzles are suitable for use in temperatures up to 50°C. They are also resistant to a variety of chemicals and fluids, including acetone, alcohol, ethyl, grease, oil, commercially available dishwashing detergent, petrol, paint, solvents and sodium hydroxide.
