Micro-Mini toolholder system supports small, precise work

For secure and precise clamping of tools with small shank diameters, Schunk now offers the Tribos Micro-Mini range. The Micro - Mini is capable of clamping diameters as small as 0.3 mm (0.012”) with h6 shank tolerances and is ideal for the micro metalcutting industries, such as the watch-making, electrode countersinking or the printed circuit board sectors. Based on the Tribos polygonal clamping technology, the Micro-Mini eliminates the need for special cutting tools with larger tool shanks – significantly reducing set-up times and enhancing productivity. Available as standard in HSK-E sizes of 25, 32 and 40, or as 100 mm long by12 mm diameter shank universal tool extensions, run-out accuracy and repeatability of the toolholder system are better than 3 microns, while a balance figure of less than 4g/mm is guaranteed.
