ModuleWorks set to co-operate with major CNC manufacturers

ModuleWorks is commencing co-operation agreements with CNC specialists FANUC and Mitsubishi Electric. FANUC has chosen material removal simulation software from ModuleWorks to provide accurate workpiece simulation on its CNC controls, while Mitsubishi Electric is using the same technology as part of its digitalisation campaign.

ModuleWorks material removal simulation is multi-axis, multi-purpose simulation technology that increases shop-floor productivity by enabling operators to verify NC programs and detect collisions between the workpiece and the tool shaft/holder directly on the control prior to machining. The ModuleWorks simulation technology also comes with a range of analytical tools for NC-program optimisation.

ModuleWorks’ software is henceforth available as an optional feature for all FANUC iHMI controls.

With regard to Mitsubishi, Mark Foti, head of digital factory at ModuleWorks, says: “Thanks to key business partners such as Mitsubishi Electric, we can continue to develop new features and technologies for this innovative industry.”

The ModuleWorks simulation for Mitsubishi Electric will be demonstrated at the upcoming EMO 2019 exhibition in Hanover.
