LVD’s cost-efficient programme complete with Parma punch press

With the introduction of its Parma 1212 and 1225 TK punch presses at a December open house, LVD has completed its cost-efficient family of products taking in the 2 kW Orion 3 by 1.5 m laser profiler and PPEC press brake already released.

With these products LVD’s sales and marketing manager, Matt Fowles, believes the company has “jumped ahead of the competition”. The 1250 by 1250 mm, 30 tonne Parma 1212 TK is under £100,000 while the 2 kW Orion is under £200,000 (there’s a 4 kW version). As people come to replace either an existing laser or punching machine and find that what they require is both technologies not just one, the prices of these latest machines makes it possible to acquire both, suggests Mr Fowles. As well as unveiling product at the cost-effective end, Mr Fowles also highlighted that the company would be using the forthcoming MACH exhibition to showcase its linear motor equipped 5 kW Axel laser profiling machine. This is aimed at very fast profiling of thin stainless steel and aluminium sheet and a UK sale is expected soon. The 3015-S Linear is capable of 40 m/min traverse, can produce 240 10 mm diameter holes at 15 mm pitch per minute, and has a pallet change time of just 12 secs.
