Charmilles Twin Wire machine is award winner; twice
Charmilles, part of Agie Charmilles, has recently won a coveted iF Product Design Award 2006 for its ROBOFIL 2050 high-performance Twin Wire EDM machine.
International Forum Design (iF) is one of the world’s leading design institutions and is based in Hanover, Germany. The Awards have been running for 52 years and are global.
It is the machine’s second award, in fact. It won the international Micron d’Or just over 12 months ago, presented at the Micronora exhibition, Besançon, France. The Micron d’Or award was for the machine’s technical functionality, accuracy and ergonomics – and the iF award is for outstanding product design.
