WNT MaxiMill 271-17 inserts bring depth of cut and performance capabilities to smaller machines

WNT believes its MaxiMill 271-17 series of cutters will be attractive to users of smaller machines or those operating with less than ideal circumstances, in terms of component rigidity and workholding.

The maximum cutting performance from the 17 mm edge length MaxiMill 271-17 inserts can be combined with as much as 8.4 mm depth of cut as even distribution of the cutting forces results in high levels of cutting edge stability and low vibration. The inserts' double-sided positive rake design also provides up to eight cutting edges, while the cutter body boasts optimised insert pocket geometry and maximised swarf removal capacity. The SAKU designated inserts are available in five different grades making them suitable for cutting most materials including cast iron and steel, as well as stainless and heat resistant materials.
