Metrology specialist Mahr's patented reference system means that MarCator dial gauges no longer need to be set to zero. Added to which a new i-wi integrated radio (wireless) system allows the user to move freely when measuring on or at the machine or when measuring large workpieces.
This speeds up measurement, provides cable-free safe access when measuring, and easier measurement data documentation. The Mahr MarCator user need only set the gauge's zero position once and it is then stored for further measurements. The gauge is ready for measurement either after pressing the 'on' button or by moving the measuring spindle. Measurement data is sent to an 'i-stick', which is inserted in a computer's USB port and the data is integrated directly and automatically in MS-Excel or any Windows program.
Up to eight MarCator dial gauges can be connected to each i-stick receiver. The transmitter is integrated directly into the energy efficient gauge which requires no separate battery.
