Lloyd Instruments announces extended travel materials tester
Materials testing machine company Lloyd Instruments has announced the extended travel LS2.5.
The Lloyd LS2.5 single column machine features 1,400 mm crosshead travel and a high speed range of 0.01 2,032 mm/min and is suitable for testing plastics, rubber and other high elongation materials.
It has a force capacity of 2,500 N and uses high accuracy interchangeable YLC series load cells for tension, compression and cycling through zero force measurements. The unit's linear guide technology, preloaded ballscrews – as well as advanced software compensation – provide no-compromise mechanical stiffness over the extended crosshead travel range, states Lloyd.
The LS2.5 is designed for stand-alone operation with integral console to PC-control using Lloyd Instruments' NexygenPlus materials testing software.
