Hainbuch offers standard interface unit to speed up workholder change-overs
Hainbuch is offering CentroteX as time-saving solution to problems encountered when switching from jaw chuck to collet chuck, or from jaw chuck to mandrel. For example, the CentroteX quick change interface enables switching from a 315 jaw chuck to a size 100 collet style chuck to be performed in just five minutes. No radial adjustment or run-out alignment is required.
Hainbuch's CentroteX quick change-over interface is now available in a stardardised version for machines with spindle configurations A2-6 and A2-8. Standardisaton makes the item more attractive both in terms of price and availability from stock.
The Centrotex interface between machine and clamping device incorporates a quick-acting closure mechanism and, says Hainbuch, allows the preferred workholding solution to be selected without compromise.
Hainbuch quotes an achievable change-over accuracy between machine adapter and clamping device adapter of less than 0.002 mm without radial alignment. There is also no loss of rigidity which can occur with clamping devices that are bolted on to the machine.
The Monteq mounting aid can be implemented for heavy clamping devices.
