Addison imet Xtech bandsaws specified with special performance needs in mind

Addison Saws' range of four Imet Xtech double column bandsaws include the 16-inch Xtech 410 and 25-inch Xtech 630 which, the company believes, will be of particular value in aerospace, oil and gas, and special alloys applications.

Over 60 different material specs can be stored with pre-programmed automatic cutting parameters including both cutting and blade speeds. Addison also says its variable feedrate and variable blade speed systems can reduce standard saw blade cutting times by up to 30% and, when TCT saws blades are used, times can be reduced by over 60% – so blades will last longer, too. Double bearings on both the driven and idle blade wheels aid stability, evening out blade power and enabling higher band tensioning, which collectively increase both cut rates and blade life. Front and back blade vice supports separate on saw head returns to give true clearance for high production TCT.
