Sixty new companies book for MACH 2010

Sixty new companies have booked stand space for MACH 2010 since the start of the year, including Sunnen, Fortron and Sodi-Tech.

MACH is the UK's biennial manufacturing technology show, this year held at the NEC, Birmingham, 7-11 June. The 60 companies took a further 1200 sq m of space at the show, which is now almost 90 per cent sold against target. Among the bookings, the largest stands taken in the recent swathe of interest are Sunnen (80 sq m), Sodi-Tech (102 sq m) and Fortron (72 sq m). The surge in stand bookings comes as MTA surveys suggest a more positive picture for the industry, with increases in order books reported by a number of companies. Alongside the MTA survey, wider reports are that the recession is 'officially' over and many commentators are expecting a UK recovery in the second quarter of 2010 - perfect timing for MACH 2010. "As industry confidence picks up, we are becoming increasingly confident that MACH 2010 could actually be the best exhibition we've put on so far," said Graham Shearsmith, MTA exhibition organiser. "Everyone in the industry we speak to seems to have all eyes on June and they are focusing their efforts on maximising the myriad of sales opportunities that will present themselves at the show. "Those who are going to come out of this recession in a good position are those companies that grab the opportunities to market themselves - MACH is undoubtedly one of the best ways to show potential customers that your company means business!"
