Sellafield is offering both apprenticeships and degree schemes, covering a wide range of disciplines from business administration to mechanical engineering and nuclear operations. The opportunities are available in both Cumbria and Warrington.
The positions provide first-class training and learning new skills on the job, ensuring that apprentices are well-equipped for their future careers.
All apprentices have the chance to pursue a qualification relevant to their chosen field by studying with selected high-level training providers across the country. The duration of each programme varies between two to four years.
With no upper age limit for applicants, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority said that the scheme is accessible to a broad range of individuals.
In a statement, Sarah-Louise Shipman, who joined Sellafield as a safety case degree apprentice in September, said: “After leaving school, I realised that university wasn’t my path, but my passion for learning continued. The Sellafield apprenticeship presented the perfect alternative.
