Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC) has launched a 36-page catalogue of its tapping and threading products – all available in metric and imperial dimensions.

Instead of just offering product specifications, at the foot of each page of the catalogue there are also technical hints and tips. This allows customers to identify the benefits of each product, as well as how to improve its performance with everything from advice on swarf control and speeds and feeds through to corresponding toolholding products. Additionally, each product in the catalogue is supported by information on drilling and holemaking products available. The aim is to provide customers with the tools to complete each process to the highest possible productivity and quality levels. Products featured in this first issue of the catalogue include new styles and grades available for through and blind holes in ITC's GX tapping series. This series includes products suitable for high or low volume tapping of components in a diverse selection of materials from copper, plastics, aluminium and cast aluminium, through to steels, cast irons, nickel and titanium alloys. A comprehensive range of taps from M1 to M24 include products with spiral points and flutes in long and standard lengths with through coolant and a selection of coating options for all material types. These are complemented by thread formers with or without through coolant and oil grooves Wire inserts taps, carbide threadmills and mini threadmills as well as specialised tapping heads for improving performance and tool life also feature. The catalogue can be downloaded from the company's website or is also available in printed form upon request.
