KMF (Precision Sheet Metal) is dramatically increasing its capacity, following the installation of two Trumpf laser profiling machines and a state-of-the-art automated material handling facility at a total cost of £2.5 million, including the construction of a further extension to its 100 000 sq ft factory in Newcastle under Lyme.

Sheet metalworking equipment specialist Trumpf UK has taken the largest ever single order in its history. Valued at just over £2 million, it is for a range of machines and associated automation to be supplied to Stoke-based IAE, the country's leading manufacturer of livestock handling equipment, equestrian stabling, steel fencing and shelters.

Nottingham-based subcontractor Lasershape has installed two CO2 laser profilers - a TruLaser 3030, with 5 kW resonator, and a TruLaser 3040 - as a complement to two Trumpf TruLaser 5030 Fibre laser profiling centres purchased in early 2011.
