Victor Vturn-S26 (CM) 2- or 3-axis CNC turning centre

The Victor Vturn-S26 (CM) CNC turning centre complements the existing Vturn-26 HD and VT-A26CM, but has been re-engineered to provide a host of new features that include the option of a servo-powered C-axis to offer driven tooling stations. Users therefore have the option of the 2-axis Vturn-26HD workhorse or the more flexible 3-axis Vturn-S26.

As with all Victor CNC machine tools, the foundation for the new Vturn-S26 is a large sturdy single-piece slant-bed. The single-piece design eliminates the possibility of coolant leakage whilst the 30° design lowers the centre of gravity to enhance rigidity and performance. In addition, this innovative new configuration provides a large swing diameter that allows for loading of larger billets.

The Vturn-S26 boasts 18/24m/min rapid feed rates and a high thrust force of 1441 kg/f that reduces chip-to-chip times and ensures productivity levels are best-in-class. The 12-station, live tooling turret, a BMT-65 unit, has an indexing time of 0.8 seconds, whilst the 4.5 kW motor delivers live tooling speeds of 4,000 rpm with high torque, rigidity and repeatability delivered by Victor Taichung’s own turret configuration. Spindle power is of 22 kW with 574 Nm, which supports heavy duty cutting under the most challenging conditions and materials.

Surface finish and tool life are optimised via the rigidity and machine stability that are the hallmark of the Victor CNC brand. The Vturn-S26 weighs in at 6,130 kg, credit to the Meehanite casting and heavy duty boxways that are 64 and 80 mm in X and Z respectively.

The latest addition to the Victor CNC stable has an increased swing over the bed, 600 mm compared to the 520 mm on previous Vturn-26HD models, which increases the maximum turning diameter from 410 to 430mm.

The latest FANUC 0iTF CNC control with 10.4” colour screen display and intuitive manual guide is fitted and hydraulic chuck, programmable tailstock, chip conveyor, hand wheel, toolholders, coolant flush on Z-axis cover and a three-step warning light also feature.

Victor CNC can also offer optional accessories that include a manual or auto tool pre-setter, part catcher, power chuck, high pressure coolant, barfeed interface, auto-door, tailstock centre and, of course, C-axis.
