Walter extends Tiger.tec silver grade range for turning

  • Tiger.tec silver grade range for turning coated carbide inserts
Tooling giant Walter GB has extended its Tiger.tec Silver grade range with the addition of WKP25S for the wet and dry machining of steel and irons (ISO P and ISO K), as well as with Tiger.tec geometries and cutting tool materials for ISO steel turning.

Complementing WKP35S, the new WKP25S grade is applicable for all popular tools in the Xtra.tec range – face and shoulder mills, side and face mills and porcupine cutters.

For ISO steel turning, the new Tiger.tec Silver ISO P Generation geometries –FP5, MP3, MP5 and RP5 – all have large universal chip breakage ranges for increased production efficiency and complement the turning grades in terms of higher cutting data and longer tool lives.
