Amada Techster boasts enlarged grinding area

  • Surface grinding Amada Techstar
Amada has expanded its grinding portfolio with its latest Techster series surface grinding machines, which have an enlarged grinding area from 600 by 400 to 1,200 by 600 mm.

This offers a large working range for the use of indexing and cylindrical grinding devices and for a wide range of contour grinding and dressing tasks.

The Techster comes equipped with servo drives and ballscrew technology on all axes so does not require hydraulics. It has a high rigidity bridge-type structure and hand scraped double Vee guides in the longitudinal axis affording increased sliding ability.

Other features include: a table feedrate of up to 40 m/min with an ultra-precision measuring system capable of 0.05 micron resolution; built-in touch probe providing micro-precision compensation; and three hand wheels for easy set-up and manual operation.
