3M introduces SD-200 compact sound meter to simply ear-plug selection

The SD-200 compact, lightweight entry-level sound level meter has joined 3M's Quest detection range. It measures workplace noise accurately by employing an advanced integrating feature that computes average sound pressure level.

3M says the SD-200 sound detector enables easy selection of appropriate 3M hearing protection by lighting up green, yellow or red LEDs that correspond to the 3M Optime alert system which relates attenuation guidelines to product categories.
