Small parts handled accurately and quickly with System 3R Twist Lock

  • small part automated workholding system
System 3R'sTwist Lock direct clamping chuck is intended for use with small parts.

Developed in conjunction with the Swiss watchmaking industry, Twist Lock is based on the successful GPS 120 chuck with its proven and guaranteed repeatable accuracy of 2 micron.

No clamps need to be unscrewed, so what could have taken up to 40 sec now only takes around 4 sec, while the turbo clamping force provides 1,400 N per Twist Lock chuck.

For precision milling operations especially, the automated loading of round and square metal blanks can be quickly and accurately achieved. Pneumatically operated, at the touch of a button the four clamps rise and twist, release the workpiece by an ejector function, a new workpiece is then put in its place by a robot gripper and the clamps then re-engage.
