Schaublin Machines' larger lathe

  • Schaublin Machines' larger lathe
Following the launch of the Schaublin Machines 102TM CNC turning centre, the company has unveiled a larger brother, the 225TMi.

The 225TMi CNC turning centre, with integrated motor and C-axis, has a linear tooling configuration - identical to that on the smaller 102 TM CNC – but the machine has a weight of 1,250 kg, turning envelope of 270 mm diameter, and a maximum swing over the carriage of 115 mm.

The machine’s AC spindle motor generates 5.5 kW of power, and there’s a headstock through capacity of 40 mm diameter. A pneumatic workpiece collector also features.

The 225TMi CNC operates in the same tolerance band as the 102 TM CNC and has optional extras such as a tool zero setting microscope and a tool centering microscope to guarantee precision.
