Taylor Hobson’s Surtronic R-series offers high throughput rates

  • Roundness measurement Surtronic R-series Taylor Hobson
Taylor Hobson R100/R105 metrology instruments meet roundness and form requirements with a variety of systems and application-specific accessories and fixtures that can be tailored to specific needs.

The Surtronic R series roundness measurement products are described as robust enough for the shopfloor while accurate enough for the inspection room. They also offer the crucial advantage of speedin precision manufacturing industries where metrology often proves to be a bottleneck, says Taylor Hobson. High measurement throughput ensures that higher sampling rates can be achieved while supporting increased manufacturing volumes.

Accuracy and precision are not sacrificed to speed, however. Although many times faster than traditional bench-top roundness systems, fully ISO compliant measurements can be taken with ±25 nm spindle accuracy and 6 nm gauge resolution (30 nm for R100/R105).

All systems are designed for constant 24/7 use in demanding shopfloor environments and they are manufactured from durable and hard wearing materials. The X-sight touchscreen software platform with intuitive navigation makes the Surtronic roundness system as easy to use as a SatNav, concludes Taylor Hobson.
