Röhm offers wide range of robot grippers

Clamping and gripping specialist Röhm offers robot grippers for the diverse application.

Its new electrical gripper, Image: REPG, can be used as a flexible robot-gripper and as a cost-efficient servo axis with integrated propulsion and stable roller guide. The gripping times of from 70 ms enable an efficient and economical manufacturing process, while gripping powers of 10 N to 400 N ensure a flexible application. A further advantage is the option to grip parts of various sizes without a refit. The included, simple to operate software allows for the accurate and sensitive control of power and speed. The machine control can be accessed via a RS-232 interface.

The company's centrical gripper, Image: RZP, is for the centric gripping of rotation-symmetric and cubic workpieces. The different clamping jaws and two different lifting lengths allow for a universal application. The jaw bases that fit into a T-groove have proven themselves in gripping situation at maximum load, so support behaviour of the jaw bases is optimal.

The pneumatically operated large lift gripper, Image: RGP (pictured), allows for large jaw lifts of up to 100 mm. Among other purposes, it is suitable for long jaw applications. The gripping body, manufactured from high strength, hard coated aluminium ensures durability. The gear racks, intermediate jaws and the gear wheel are made of hardened steel. The centric clamping occurs via the synchronisation of the two gear racks with a gear wheel.

Röhm's pneumatically operated swivel unit, Image: RSP, with quadruple fluid through-hole and a swivel angle of 180°, is usable in every position and demonstrates smooth end position damping.

All Röhm grippers are guaranteed for at least 5 million cycles, however, with preventative maintenance, some 10 million cycles can be achieved without difficulty.
