ESAB micro nozzle boosts plasma’s thin material cutting capabilities

  • plasma profiling ESAB micro nozzle
Micro nozzle technology is now available for the PT-36 plasma cutting torch used on ESAB Cutting Systems' M3 precision plasma cutting system.

Designed for the plasma cutting of thinner plate, the micro nozzle can produce high arc densities, which promotes both precision and the production of very narrow kerfs. The narrow kerfs also allow small contour cutting for small holes, slots and corners.

The ESAB micro nozzle, which comes 30, 60 and 90 amp versions, has been optimised for cutting thin metal sheet from 2 to 10 mm. The technology is also favourable when cutting copper and aluminium where reflectivity and heat absorption can be a problem.

The ESAB PT-36 plasma cutting torch can be bought as a retrofit to replace older torches.
