Mid-range large capacity floor-type HMC fills the gap

A new large capacity floor-type horizontal machining centre based on the AsquithButler PowerCentre, the PowerCentre – S, has been designed to meet the demand for rigid high performance medium-high capacity machines.

The mid-range machine, stands between the large capacity PowerCentre 500 and the smaller standard PowerCentre and takes advantage of the latest proven technology. It is based on the strong and robust structure of the PowerCentre 500, giving the capability for heavy stock removal and high feed and speed rates, with a smaller capacity than the 500 but a larger bed than the standard PowerCentre. X axis is 6 m, Y axis 2.5 m, and Z 1.25 m. The X axis benefits from a 6m ballscrew drive as standard but is also offered with twin synchronised gear box drive on machines if required. The PowerCentre - S accepts heads and rams from both the standard and 500 machines to provide maximum versatility.
