Master Fluid releases low-foaming, semi-synthetic coolant for ferrous parts

TRIM MicroSol 456, the latest addition to range of semi-synthetic micro-emulsion coolants from Master Fluid Solutions has been introduced to meet the needs of European manufacturers that focus on the production of cast iron and ferrous parts, as well as the machining of some aluminium alloy and other non-ferrous metals. The coolant extends the scope of TRIM MicroSol to provide a cost-effective solution for those who do not require the multi-purpose qualities of other products in this range.

An important benefit of the latest TRIM MicroSol addition is that it is low-foaming, even in soft water areas. The coolant is therefore suitable for use in demanding applications such as grinding, high-pressure and high-volume machining, milling, slab milling, and turning.

TRIM MicroSol 456 is characterised by its high mechanical lubricity and ability to optimise production costs through higher cutting quality, longer tool life and long sump life, says the company. The product’s formulation means that it is free from boron, formaldehyde donors and all aggressive biocides, providing full compliance with the strictest health and safety guidelines. In addition, the coolant provides superior corrosion inhibition on cast iron and eliminates ‘hot chip’ and clinkering problems. Machines also remain very clean, while no special disposal or recycling is required.
