Large capacity lathes for oil industry
The large capacity Dugard Eagle Megaslant and Megaturn have capacities of from 700 to 3,000 mm swing, and up to 10,000 mm bed lengths, and are particularly suitable for oil and gas components.
One important feature of this new range is the large spindle bore of up to 760 mm diameter. Options to be available will include special chucks, fixturing, steadies, spindle sizes and speeds.
The machines feature major castings of Meehanite cast iron with solid guideways having Turcite faces, providing stability and rigidity for vibration-free, heavy duty cutting.
