ITC air turbine motor mounts

  • ITC air turbine motor mounts
ITC of Tamworth now offers a range of four air turbine motor mounts to improve the capability of robots, routing and deburring machines, and turning centres.

With no gears or vanes to lubricate or repair, these reliable motors have fewer moving parts and need fewer repairs.

The HD motor mount units increase spindle speed up to 65,000 rpm to improve productivity, surface finishes and machine capability.

Providing a constant high speed and torque under load, the mounts are ideal for robotic finishing or machining metals, plastics, ceramics, composites or wood.

First of the four is the 202HD, with 3 mm tool capacity, an oil-free fixture mounted motor and available with 30,000, 40,000, 50,000, and 65,000 rpm speed ranges. Generating 0.55 hp and weighing 0.28 kg it is well suited for robot-loaded metal finishing and plastic routing applications.

The 210HD Series, with 6 mm tool capacity, has an extended reach for cavity and intricate machining applications. Available with 25,000, 30,000 and 40,000 rpm options, the 0.7 kg unit maintains a noise level below 67 dBA whilst delivering a TIR collet accuracy of less than 0.03 mm.

For hard material machining, the robust 430HD unit, with 6 mm tool diameter, offers a 0.88 hp motor with a spindle speed of 25,000, 30,000, and 40,000 rpm.

Finally, the 430XHD, with a more powerful 1.4 hp motor, has been developed for machine shops demanding a combination of increased speed and power to improve productivity times.
