Walter introduces Xtra.Tec heptagon F4045 face milling cutter

With indexable inserts having 14 cutting faces, the new Xtra.tec F4045 heptagon face milling cutter from Walter GB is available in close and medium pitches to suit all cast iron machining conditions.

F4045 is designed for cutting depths in the 4-6 mm range and can easily and quickly swap the negative basic shape insert geometries – stable, universal and easy cutting – and use Tiger.tec Silver or PVD Tiger.tec WKK25 grade inserts (for especially difficult machining conditions) for example.

The clamping wedge pivots after just a few turns of the clamping screw at the side, making the inserts readily accessible, says Walter.
