Improved abrasive metering system for waterjet systems

Feedline IV metering system from KMT Waterjet Systems has been especially designed to meet these requirements and significantly reduce the risk of production downtime.

Feedline IV supplies the waterjet cutting head with a constant and accurately metered flow of abrasive. This accuracy ensures that when the abrasive reaches the mixing chamber in the cutting head, where it is mixed with water and air, there is no risk of blockage.

The abrasive outlet at the base of the unit has been completely redesigned. For ease of maintenance, it now consists of a single component with no moving parts. A T-piece water relief valve stops water entering the plastic hose through which the abrasive is transferred to the cutting head. The abrasive is kept dry and in the event of a malfunction, production does not have to be interrupted to clean out the hose.

The FeedLine IV is more compact, narrower and lighter in weight than its predecessor. Weighing only 2.8 kg, it can be mounted to any type of waterjet cutting machine.
