High productivity aluminium cutting

Walter is now offering matched Xtra.tec F4033 face mill cutter bodies and inserts to ensure there is no compromise in gaining the highest level of productivity from the tool when milling aluminium.

The special inserts feature eight extremely sharp cutting edges to give high productivity milling of aluminium, when paired with the specially designed cutter body. This combination of cutter and insert capitalises on the insert's high 22° rake angle and a superior polished rake face to prevent the onset of built-up edge.

Each cutter body has increased pitching for the insert pockets and a customised larger clearance to ensure a positive evacuation of chips from the cutting zone.

There is now a trio of special high performance cutters for milling aluminium by Walter in its Xtra.tec range that also incorporates two shoulder milling style bodies F4041 and F4042.
