Hexagon Metrology offers revised Romer Absolute Arm with SmartLock technology

Hexagon Metrology says the Romer Absolute Arm is 23% more accurate than earlier versions and with point repeatability values from 0.016 mm, the company says it is the most accurate portable measuring arm it has ever produced. Available in seven different lengths, from 1.5 to 4.5 m, the revised design is said to enable the longer arm types to achieve significantly higher accuracies than before.

The SmartLock locking mechanism safely locks the arm in its rest position for added security. In addition, users can lock the arm in any intermediate position for measuring in tight spaces.

Hexagon Metrology is also releasing a variant of the Romer Absolute Arm specific to tube inspection applications. These tube inspection arms offer measurement volumes of 2.5 or 3.0 m, a special gas shock and a tube measurement stand to make tube and hose measurement as easy as possible.
