Helicheck tool measuring machine range expanded

Walter machines has expanded its range of Helicheck tool measuring machines with the Helicheck Basic 2 model which, says Körber Schleifring UK, represents an unbeatable price-performance package for automated, accurate tool measurement.

As an entry level machine and utilising optical measurement technology, the Walter Helicheck Basic 2 features a precision backlight camera and 50x (optional 100x) magnification for tools of up to 320 mm diameter and 420 mm long. The machine can undertake complex profile or form measurements, as well as, measure 'standard' features such as diameter and step length.

Also possible is the fully automatic measurement of grinding wheel sets.

As standard, the machine is offered with a length measuring capability of E1 = (1.4 + L / 300) micron and a repeatability of <1 micron, or with E1 = (2.0 + L / 300) micron and a repeatability of <1.5 micron.

The Walter Helicheck Basic 2 incorporates easy-to-use operating software for manual routines; and software used on other Helicheck models (the Basic, Plus and Pro) is also compatible.
