Duwe-3d confirms PolyWorks V12 supports Faro Edge measuring arm

Duwe-3d, which represents InnovMetric Software in Europe, has conducted a series of evaluation tests to confirm the integration of the Faro Edge measuring arm into PolyWorks V12 visual and tactile co-ordinate measurement software environment. This means that PolyWorks V12, a standard solution for the processing and evaluation of three dimensional data in industrial applications, supports measuring and scanning.

In addition, settings such as calibration on the Faro measuring arm, are then available in PolyWorks. The measuring arm can be connected using USB, WLAN or Bluetooth. The PolyWorks plug-in also allows the guided measurement of specified test procedures, thereby flexibly using measuring variables such as the compensation method, the exact number of scanning points or predefined sensing ranges.

Duwe-3d also states that the Faro Edge can locally record and store standard geometries without any PC connection. In PolyWorks, these measured data and geometries can be imported using a new interface and incorporated in measurement reports.
