End former is claimed most competitive

  • End former is claimed most competitive
The AV65S end forming machine ideally suited to small batch or prototype production right through to high volume.

It has a claimed unique feature of side-loading tools which eliminates the need for lifting equipment thus easing health and safety issues and concerns. And it is also offered at the low price of £7,900+VAT.

Conventional end forming machines have tool changes carried out by lifting and dropping tooling in from a top access. This requires lifting equipment which can be awkward and time consuming. The operator may need to lift anything up to 27 kg, which is hazardous and can contravene health and safety regulations.

Other features of the AV65S include a PLC which can run the machine in a semi-automatic mode and store up to 300 machine settings (programs). Typical production times to expand a tube are 2 sec, while accuracy of +/- .02 mm can be maintained.

Tooling for expansion and reduction are all compatible with the existing Ava-Matic range and in most cases will accept other manufacturers' tooling too.
