DMG VMC for under £54,000

The DMC 1035 V ECO VMC is a 1,035 by 560 by 510 mm in Z (X, Y, Z), 13 kW, 83 Nm of torque, 8,000 rpm spindle machine, for under £54,000.

The specification includes a choice of control from Siemens 810D with Shopmill software or Fanuc Oi-TC with Manual Guide i to provide simple programming with 3-D simulation depicted on a 15 inch TFT-screen. Tool management and visual support for set up and diagnostics is a feature.

And for just another £1,630, four high quality milling tools from the CoroMill series with back ends and 30 high performance inserts will be supplied. Further options include direct measuring scales, Heidenhain TS640 touch probe and TT130 tool probe.

Rigidity is high in the C-frame machine design having a small footprint requirement of 2.5 mm by 2.8 mm. The table size is 1,200 by 650 mm, and rapid traverse rates are 25 m/min in each axis.

Tool exchange time is just 1.6 sec from a 20-position magazine.
