ConeFit milling cutters for producing intricate contours

  • ConeFit milling cutters for producing intricate contours
Walter GB's Prototyp ConeFit, a universal modular milling cutter system, is suited to the production of highly-accurate intricate contours.

Featuring a 'hybrid' buttress and trapezoidal thread, the system is based around a ground cone, for concentricity, and an axial support face, that provides rigidity, and therefore, process reliability.

Available in diameters of 10 to 20 mm, the solid carbide heads feature a special TAX (titanium-aluminium-nitride) coating for long tool life, on all ISO material groups.

The system is based on a solid carbide milling head, that is located into the steel toolholder via a self-centring precision mounting thread. With 'interchangeable' milling heads of different diameters, tool costs can be reduced, as fewer complete tools need to be purchased.

Cutting edge geometries have been 'duplicated' from the Walter Prototyp range, with versions for roughing and finishing, contour and profile milling, available, in a variety of forms. Both long and short toolholders can be supplied.
