Combirex Offers More Features And Higher Performance

  • Combirex Offers More Features And Higher Performance
The Combirex is a gantry cutting machine designed to meet the needs of job shops and manufacturers of all sizes for both maintenance work or parts production in both plasma and oxy-fuel cutting modes.

The ESAB Combirex plasma and oxy-fuel profile cutting machine features a high-performance drive system and a precision, heavy-duty gantry providing a solid foundation for accurate cutting over working widths up to 3,500 mm. Combined with an ESAB Vision 51 control system and Columbus programming software, the Combirex can be used as the centrepiece of an automated production system.

Its compact design saves valuable floor space, and its mid-rail design accommodates easy loading and unloading. The working length can be extended at a later date as required and other upgrades are easy due to the modular design, allowing the machine to be matched to individual requirements.

To handle a wide variety of cutting applications, the Combirex can be equipped with plasma, or up to four oxy-fuel torches, or a combination of one plasma and up to three oxy-fuel torches.

In conjunction with ESAB's m³ plasma system, it can produce precision plasma cuts on sheet metal up to 60 mm thick plate. With oxy-fuel torches, it can slice through mild steel plate up to 200 mm thick.

The gantry is available in sizes to cover plate widths up to 3,500 mm wide. The dual-side drive gantry features precision rack and pinion, as well as heavy-duty gearboxes to allow high positioning speeds of up to 20,000 mm/min. With a linear guiding system and powerful digital AC drives, the machine achieves high dynamic accuracy over the entire cutting area.
