Belt system for mass finishing of delicate thin-gauge parts

Rösler’s Flow Finishing mass finishing system is suitable for surface finishing of delicate, thin-gauge parts that tend to bend or warp. Parts and media tumble over each other in the work chamber that is formed by a continuous belt.

A significant feature of the Flow Finisher are the dividers in the work chamber. These prevent parts from injuring each other. Another feature is the quick media change. By reversing the direction of the belt, media and parts are quickly and completely unloaded from the work chamber and transferred to a vibratory screener where they are separated. Combined, these features ensure absolute batch integrity.

The intensity of the finishing process for different parts can be adjusted by varying the belt speed and the use of different grinding or polishing media. The variable belt speed allows a processing range from very aggressive to extremely gentle. The ‘flowing’ motion of media and parts allows the processing of highly delicate parts that previously could not be finished in a mass finishing system.
