EasyNest brings auto true-shape nesting to Esab Vision CNC

  • auto true-shape nesting for profiled parts
Esab Cutting Systems has added EasyNest automatic true-shape nesting capabilities to its Vision T5 CNC controller. Parts can be added from the shape library or imported from CAD files or existing part programs. The operator simply enters the sheet size and the desired number of each part. The Vision T5 then generates as many sheets as necessary to meet requirements.

EasyNest permits automatic nesting right at the machine, eliminating the need to purchase offline programming software for many applications. Small shops, says Esab, also often prefer to have the machine operator do the programming and nesting and EasyNest make this easier than ever. It lets an operator quickly generate nests using one or more programs to be cut from the same material, maximising plate utilisation. This not only saves time in programming but also reduces the machine set-up time by cutting multiple parts in one set-up.

Even without CAD or nesting experience, says Esab, it will take an operator only minutes to learn to use the wizard interface. All lead-in and lead-out technology is added automatically, based on the operator's selection of material type thickness and cutting process.
