Amada automated press brake offering broadens with ASTRO 165-W

Amada has extended its ASTRO family of unmanned robotic press brakes with the adition of the ASTRO 165-W.

The Amada ASTRO 165-W offers customers a standard automated forming solution for virtually all bending requirements. It can handle blank sizes from 150 by 150 mm, up to 3,000 by 1,500 mm, and sheet thickness from 0.6 mm up to 6.0 mm.

The ASTRO 165-W comprises an Amada HDS press brake with options up to 4 m in bed length and 220 tonnes press capacity, depending on customer requirements. Product manipulation is provided by a 7-axis part handling unit (6-axis robot plus single linear travelling axis), complemented by an automatic hand changer and three types of hand as standard. Programming of the system is facilitated by Amada's ASTRO-Easy software.
