  • XYZ unveils 410 mm spindle bore CNC oil country lathe at MACH 2010
The XYZ CNC oil country lathe, the three-metre bed length version of which being displayed on stand 5460 is available ex-stock, weighs 14,000 kg, has a 410 mm spindle bore with a 40 in four-jaw chuck and a 32 in rear three-jaw chuck.

The standard specification is 1,100 mm swing over bed, 750 mm swing over cross slide, and speed ranges of 2-20 rpm, 20-70 rpm, and 70-250 rpm auto selection.

Optional bed lengths range from 1.5 m to 5 m, with longer bed lengths available to order.

The XYZ oil country lathe is supplied as standard with chip conveyor and auto indexing four-station toolpost, with the option of either an 8- or 12-station hydraulic turret.

Control is via the Siemens 840D conversational ShopTurn control, which features 'easy to navigate' menus and comprehensive help screens. This means it can be programmed by operators lacking specific DIN/ISO knowledge.
