Winterthur reveals better-then-ever sales

  • Winterthur reveals better-then-ever sales
Winterthur (GB) is reporting “better than ever” sales with turnover up almost 20 per cent on last year’s record year.

With September this year also the best ever month for the company, managing director Chris Hartford explained: “We are being very successful in the UK. Customers appreciate and value our ability to add profit to their operations by delivering high quality grinding ancillaries which enable them to take substantial cost out of their production processes. The results speak for themselves: we are now in the enviable position of steadily increasing market share by winning more business from existing customers and from our competitors. As a company, we invest heavily in the R&D which enables us to focus on bringing high quality, highly productive grinding products to the market.”

Winterthur’s product portfolio includes conventional ceramic and resin bonded wheels, super abrasive wheels, diamond dressing wheels and grinding machine. This takes in Winterthur bonded abrasives grinding wheels, Wendt diamond and CBN grinding and dressing tools, specialist Rappold Winterthur large-diameter cut off wheels for the steel industry, and SlipNaxos hot-pressed grinding wheels for grinding steel slabs and billets.

Most products available are under three years old.
