Waterjet cutting agreement signed

  • Waterjet cutting agreement signed
Sheet metal equipment specialist Press and Shear Machinery has signed an agreement with Waterjet under which it will become sole supplier of the latter's waterjet cutting machinery range in the UK and Ireland. Waterjet's products, including the KMT Pump, are said to be a 'perfect fit' for Press and Shear's portfolio.

Although water cutting technology has proven its worth in industrial markets for decades, it is developing faster than any other profiling equipment solution. Amongst its benefits are accuracy, cost efficiency, flexibility, quality and speed.

Mark Britton, Press and Shear's managing director, said: "This agreement forms a winning combination for both companies. Waterjet can access an established and growing UK and Irish customer base and benefit from our extensive knowledge of the technology and how it fits into our regions' manufacturing ethos. The product range will be supported with the same level of service and support our customers have come to expect from the Press and Shear name. For our part, we can provide the most advanced product solutions in this sector of the marketplace."

Press and Shear is introducing an initial product range, including Light, Classica and Suprema. Various options are available, including: sludge removal system; pre-piercing and countersink device; double head system; touch probe and anti collision device; and plasma combined cutting head.

The range also includes a series of bespoke machines, with extended width and length.
