Ward CNC selects Edgecam as preferred CAM solution

Ward CNC has selected Planit Software's Edgecam as its preferred CAM solution for part programming.

The company says the move is prompted by the increasing uptake of 4- and 5-axis machining via Ward CNC's ranges of Hartford, Hyundai-Kia, Soraluce and Union multi-axis machining centres and milling machines.

Ward CNC's applications manager, Richard Shaw, said: "More and more customers are demanding multi-axis routines – in many cases up to 5-axis. And while our machines are more than capable of meeting, if not surpassing, customer requirements, the sophisticated yet easy-to-use CAM technology ensures customers gain the maximum benefit in terms of cost-effective, highly flexible production routines. With this in mind, two members of our applications team are already fully conversant with the features and ability of EdgeCAM."
