System 3R strengthens northern sales force

Tooling, workholding and automation specialist System 3R UK has appointed Giles Walker as area sales manager for the North of England.

Living in Halifax, Mr Walker will cover the area from Derbyshire up to the Scottish borders. His experience has seen him immersed in all facets of a successful family engineering business, which was sold in 2004.

“My father has been a strong influence in my engineering career,” said Mr Walker, “and I am proud to have come from such strong Yorkshire manufacturing roots.”

Following the sale of the company he moved to local engineering companies – Metaldyne International (UK) Ltd and Renold HiTec Couplings.

“System 3R has given me the opportunity to regain the face-to-face customer contact which I enjoy and the challenge to increase our market share in this area that is rich in precision production customers,” he concluded.
