Midas Pattern Company reports that it has "an outstanding year in 2011", achieving success "in all areas of the business".

A strong forward order book has enabled the company to invest in new equipment and updated infrastructure, including making changes to the patternshop to improve laminating and painting facilities, additional tooling storage and the installation of full dust extraction to all six existing CNC machines, and even freeing up space for the purchase of a seventh. In the moulding facility, there have been PU processing upgrades, the purchase of additional paint preparation plant and a significant investment in upgraded dust extraction facilities. And the icing on the cake was that Midas won the Supplier and Toolmaker category at the 2011, Plastics Industry Awards. Alan Rance, Midas' managing director, said: "Midas' success has been due to our commitment to a long- term strategy of investment, not only in machinery and infrastructure, but also in building a really strong team of skilled and dedicated management and staff who provide our customers with the very best products and services."
